UPJ to Host Prestigious Event: Falling Walls Lab Indonesia 2023

The DAAD Regional Office Jakarta is once again collaborating with Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) to organize Falling Walls Lab Indonesia 2023. Falling Walls Lab is an internationally acclaimed idea competition and a platform for individuals with innovative ideas from various disciplines to exchange thoughts and network.

Initiated by the Falling Walls Lab Foundation in Berlin since 2009, this competition is open to all, including students, researchers, and professionals.

As of 2023, the competition has been organized by 75 Lab hosts in over 60 countries worldwide.

"This idea competition is unique because participants are required to present their innovative ideas within a concise 3-minute timeframe accompanied by 3 slides," stated Dr. Guido Schnieders, Director of the DAAD Regional Office Jakarta, on Tuesday (29/08).

"In Indonesia, Falling Walls Lab Indonesia has been held since 2016, organized by the DAAD Regional Office Jakarta in collaboration with various universities in the Jabodetabek area," mentioned Leenawaty Limantara, Ph.D., as the Rector of UPJ.

Leenawaty further noted that over 130 finalists have presented their innovative ideas on the Falling Walls Lab Indonesia stage. Eight winners from Falling Walls Lab Indonesia have represented Indonesia in the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin.
