Building Creativity and Sustainability with ArchWorks 8

ArchWorks has become a crucial turning point in the journey of creating and exploring creative ideas in the world of architecture. As a significant event regularly organized by the Architecture Program of Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ), ArchWorks serves as a momentum for students to develop their ideas through creative, critical, and innovative thinking.

Embracing the theme "Creative Placemaking: Encouraging Sustainability," ArchWorks 8 delivers a strong message to regenerate the true quality of life within the social environment. Through the integration of urban areas and cultural preservation, the event aims to foster community creativity and create sustainable environments.

The goal of ArchWorks 8 is not only limited to the creation of innovative architectural works but also to the formation of spaces that provide solutions for learning, sharing information, and showcasing interactive media. Thus, ArchWorks 8 is expected to have a constructive impact on the process of rebuilding sustainable social life quality.

Some of the activities of ArchWorks 8 include: Canvass, Archivibe, Competition, and Exhibition. All of these activities will be held at Bintaro Jaya XChange 1 from March 3 to March 9, 2024.

Each activity of ArchWorks 8 has a theme representing its purpose. First, there is Canvass with the theme "Sociability," which reflects the theme to embody an open spirit towards new ideas and innovative concepts in the collaboration process. Canvass consists of a series of events including Roadshow, Collaboration Actions on March 6 and 9, 2024, Workshops, and Talkshows on March 4, 5, and 8, 2024.

Next is Archivibe with the theme "Comfort and Image." Archivibe, or Architecture and Vibration, is an active and creative space to voice issues and developments surrounding architecture, the environment, and socio-cultural aspects, packaged in Talkshow activities. This Talkshow will feature several speakers including Isandra Matin Ahmad, Novriansyah Yakub, Mohammad Hikmat Subarkah, S.T., M.A., Ir.H. Achmad Noerzaman, MM, IAI, Adhitiya Sasongko, S.T.. And will be held on March 4, 7, and 9, 2024.

Then there's the competition or competition, with the theme "Access & Linkages." With this theme approach, it is hoped that new experiences in creating social spaces to enhance productivity and restore forgotten cultures and interactions in physical spaces can be provided.

Lastly, there is the Exhibition with the theme "Uses and Activities," aimed at introducing the role of built environments that can facilitate urban life by recognizing identities and maximizing the potential of spaces and creative activities that can occur in the local environment. This event will take place from March 3rd to March 9th, 2024, with the first day starting from 08:00 - 21:00 WIB, and from the 2nd to the 7th day starting from 10:00 - 21:00 WIB.

All of the ArchWorks 8 activities are held at Bintaro Jaya XChange 1 Mall, except for the competition, as it is an online competition. The entire series of ArchWorks 8 activities are free of charge and certainly very interesting to attend.
