UPJ Secures the Gold Winner Title in the Cooperation Award from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology 2023

As a form of appreciation for the active support and contributions from stakeholders in higher education, research, and technology who have supported the programs and policies of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek), the annual event Anugrah Diktiristek 2023 was once again organized. In this event, Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) received the Gold Winner award at the Cooperation Award DIKTIRISTEK 2023 in the Private Higher Education Institution (PTS) category for the best industry collaboration in 2023. In this category, there were only fifteen PTS that made it to the final judging stage. Out of the total fifteen PTS finalists in this category, UPJ was one of the two PTS awarded the Gold Winner. The award for the Cooperation Award DIKTIRISTEK 2023 was received directly by Ir. Yudi Samyudia, Ph.D., the Rector of UPJ, at the Anugrah Diktiristek 2023 event held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, in Jakarta.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Ir. Suharti, M.A., Ph.D., emphasized in her address that the efforts to realize the transformation of higher education would not be achievable without support from various parties. Collaboration between universities, industries, ministries/agencies, local governments, media, and the community is crucial in building excellent human resources through the Merdeka Campus initiative.

"As a form of appreciation, in 2023 the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology through the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology will present awards at the Anugerah Diktiristek 2023 event to individuals who have worked extraordinarily in supporting the realization of higher education transformation for progress," said the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Suharti.

Previously, on October 26, 2023, UPJ received the Collaboration Award as the third-best private university in West Java-Banten in terms of implementing collaboration with the industrial sector and became a finalist in the national-level Anugrah Diktiristek. This award adds to the long list of achievements and recognitions from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology that UPJ has achieved in the last five years.

"The achievement and recognition of this Cooperation Award are proof that UPJ is a quality private university where the learning process is supported by strong industry collaboration," stated by Ir. Yudi Samyudia, Ph.D., the Rector of Universitas Pembangunan Jaya.
