Awesome! UPJ Achieves the Title of Dedicated University in the 2023 Ministry of Education and Culture Research and Technology Golden Talent Event

Collaboration between Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) and the Indonesian Talent Development Center (BPTI) under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology in organizing several national competitions in 2023 has earned UPJ recognition as a Dedicated University in 2023. The award was received by UPJ during the pinnacle event of the Golden Talent Works Presentation 2023 on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Tanah Airku Theater, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta.

The Golden Talent Works Presentation is a festival showcasing works of golden talents through the collaboration of students who have excelled at the elementary, secondary, and tertiary education levels, and have received medals. The aim is to foster motivation and inspire students across Indonesia to achieve excellence. To produce these golden talent works, a total of forty-one events were organized throughout 2023 by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) and BPTI under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

"The best education is how to optimize the diverse potential of all students into the highest achievements," emphasized Tatang Muttaqin, M.Ed., Ph.D., Expert Staff in Talent Management at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, during the opening of the event.

Tatang Muttaqin, M.Ed., Ph.D., acknowledged that the success of the forty-one national and international events would not have been possible without the support of partners. The Ministry highly appreciates and extends the highest appreciation to partners who actively participated in the great effort to develop Indonesia's golden talents.

UPJ itself received the Dedicated University award after successfully hosting the Indonesian Language Debate Competition (LDBI) for Senior High School (SMA) students in 2023 and the 14th Indonesian Building Competition (KBGI) in 2023. In addition to the successful organization of the competitions, UPJ successfully engaged partners from the Business and Industrial World (DUDI) to directly participate in and support the organization of two national competitions, namely the Indonesian Language Debate Competition (LDBI) for SMA students in 2023 and the Building Competition (KBGI) in 2023.

"UPJ, by developing a collaborative learning and research ecosystem, follows the principle of the pentahelix approach, where elements of Academic, Business, Government, Community, and Media (ABGCM) are dynamically and synergistically involved," stated by Dr. Agustinus Agus Setiawan, Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs at UPJ.

Furthermore, Dr. Agustinus Agus explained that the collaborative partnership between UPJ, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, and the Business and Industrial World (DUDI) in organizing the national competitions LDBI for SMA students in 2023 and KBGI in 2023 is a tangible implementation of the pentahelix approach
