Awesome! DKV UPJ Holds Final Project Exhibition, Showcasing Culture and Urban Culture, UI/UX, Games, and Interactive Books

Bintaro, Tangerang Selatan 02/07/2024 - The Visual Communication Design Program at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) recently held a final project exhibition featuring various works with themes of culture and urban culture. The exhibited works included UI/UX, games, interactive books, and various other media.

"The theme of this year's exhibition is very diverse, following the daily trends of Gen Z, ranging from issues of overcoming mental anxiety to activities of finding friends for movie watching events, which are presented in various designs such as websites and UI applications, interactive books, and animations. In addition to classic themes related to culture and Pop Culture in the form of visual identity design to campaigns," said the Head of the Visual Communication Design Program, Retno Purwanti M. S.Sn., M.Ds.

This final project is the pinnacle of DKV UPJ students' academic journey toward a professional career in design. The process of preparing the final project begins with selecting relevant and innovative topics and concepts. Students are required to explore creative ideas that are not only aesthetic but also have high functional and communication value. In this process, they must go through thorough research, including data collection, design trend analysis, and a deep understanding of market and audience needs.

Mastering various design tools and software is a technical challenge that students must face. Additionally, the ability to translate concepts into visually appealing and impactful formats and proper time management are key to successfully completing the final project.

The DKV UPJ Final Project Exhibition 2024 was held from June 19 to 28, 2024, in the Lobby of Building A and the Hall of Building B at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya. The event was attended by 51 DKV UPJ students from the class of 2020, showcasing works based on UI/UX concepts, games, interactive books, and various other media set in the context of culture and urban culture.

This exhibition provides an opportunity for students to express their creativity to the fullest. Additionally, students can develop professional portfolios and build networks through collaboration with relevant stakeholders and fellow students. Facing various challenges in this process helps students improve problem-solving skills that are invaluable in professional life and society.

By overcoming these challenges, students not only gain valuable experience but also prepare to enter the professional world. This project allows them to showcase their skills and creativity and lay a strong foundation for their future careers.
