UPJ and National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Establish Strategic Partnership through MoU Signing
Bintaro, South Tangerang, July 4, 2024 – Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NUoKMA), Ukraine, have officially established a strategic partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) virtually. This collaboration covers education, research, and community service, marking the first step in strengthening the relationship between the two universities and opening up broader opportunities for future cooperation.
The MoU was signed by UPJ Rector, Ir. Yudi Samyudia, Ph.D., and NUoKMA Rector, Prof. Serhii Kvitnytsky. Several key points in this MoU include the development and implementation of academic and non-academic activities such as faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, conferences, joint academic and cultural programs, and community service initiatives. Additionally, the two universities will prepare proposals and publications of research results, arrange visits and exchanges, and share financial responsibilities for each activity. Joint efforts will also be made to seek funding for agreed activities. This MoU is valid for five years with the option to extend for another five years upon written agreement by both parties and can be terminated with six months' written notice.
UPJ Rector, Ir. Yudi Samyudia, Ph.D., expressed his gratitude to NUoKMA for this collaboration opportunity. “I would like to thank all parties involved in the signing of this MoU. I hope this partnership will benefit both universities and open up broader collaboration opportunities in the future,” he said.
NUoKMA Rector, Prof. Serhii Kvitnytsky, also welcomed this partnership and hoped to strengthen the relationship between the two universities. “We are pleased to establish this partnership with UPJ, one of the leading universities in Indonesia. We believe this cooperation will benefit both parties and contribute to the advancement of education at a global level,” he said.
The signing of this MoU is expected to provide a strong foundation for UPJ and NUoKMA to share knowledge and experiences in education, research, and community service. This partnership is also expected to enhance the quality of education and expand educational access for the wider community.
