UPJ Proud! Fadya Aura Diza Wins 1st Place in Poetry Reading Competition at Peksimida Banten 2024

Bintaro, South Tangerang, 07/08/2024 – The 2024 Peksimida (Regional Student Art Week) Banten, held for the first time in Banten Province, has become a prestigious event for students to showcase their artistic talents. Peksimida is part of the Peksiminas series organized by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas), where Peksimida winners will represent their province at Peksiminas, scheduled to take place in September 2024 in Jakarta.

The Indonesian Student Art Development Board (BPSMI) of Banten Province organized Peksimida Banten, with participants from various public and private universities across the province. The event took place over four days, from July 15 to 18, 2024, with three universities hosting: UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanudin Banten, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (UNTIRTA), and Pembangunan Jaya University (UPJ).

A remarkable achievement was made by Pembangunan Jaya University in the female poetry reading category. Fadya Aura Diza, a 2022 student of Visual Communication Design, won 1st place. This victory positions Fadya as Banten Province's representative in the poetry reading competition at Peksiminas to be held in Jakarta.

The Vice-Rector I of Pembangunan Jaya University, Dr. Ir. Agustinus Agus Setiawam, S.T., M.T., IPM., expressed his pride in Fadya's accomplishment. "This victory is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our students and the full support of the entire UPJ academic community. We hope Fadya can continue to excel and bring pride to Banten Province and UPJ at the national level," he said.

Fadya Aura Diza, who has also been active in various campus art activities, expressed her gratitude and hope to perform her best at Peksiminas. "I am very grateful for the support from my family, friends, and lecturers. I hope to give my best and make UPJ and Banten Province proud at the national level," said Fadya.

With the conclusion of Peksimida Banten 2024, the winners in various art categories are now preparing to face the challenges at Peksiminas. This event is expected to serve as a platform for students to develop their talents and promote Indonesia's rich cultural heritage.
