Bintaro, South Tangerang, 02/09/2024 – In an effort to support the growth and legal framework of micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs), PPK ORMAWA Himpunan Mahasiswa Sipil (HMS) Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) held a seminar titled "Strategies for Strengthening Legal Frameworks for SMEs: Steps Toward Success" in Tajurhalang Village, Bogor Regency, West Java. The seminar, which took place on Saturday, August 31, 2024, aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding to local SME entrepreneurs on the importance of legal business frameworks.
Mohamad Trio Febriyantoro, S.E., M.M., Ph.D., Director of Jaya Center for Advanced Learning and Lecturer of Management Department at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya, was the keynote speaker at this event. In his presentation, he thoroughly discussed various crucial aspects of business planning, including product marketing strategies, effective sales methods, and procedures for obtaining legal verifications such as BPOM, HAKI, HALAL, and PIRT.
"Legal frameworks are key to building consumer trust in our products. With complete legalities, SMEs will find it easier to grow and compete in a broader market," stated Mohamad Trio Febriyantoro during one of the seminar sessions.
Legal frameworks are a fundamental basis for SMEs to grow and expand their markets. By having legalities in place, SMEs are not only protected from legal risks but also have the opportunity to compete in wider markets. Managing legal frameworks is the first step to growing a business. Without legalities, a business lacks adequate legal protection. Legal frameworks are not just formalities; they are a long-term investment that enhances consumer and business partner trust. When SMEs operate legally, they are not just fulfilling legal obligations but also building a more professional and trustworthy reputation.
The enthusiasm of the residents of Tajurhalang Village was palpable throughout the seminar. The 25 participants in attendance showed great interest in the information provided. They expressed that they gained valuable new insights, particularly regarding the legal verification processes they had not been aware of before. This knowledge is expected to enhance the credibility and competitiveness of their SME products in the market.
Ananda Taufik, Chairman of PPK ORMAWA, shared his views on the importance of this event for the local community, especially those involved in the (Noni Fruit) program. “We hope that through this activity, SME entrepreneurs in Tajurhalang Village can better understand the legal aspects of their businesses. It’s not just about complying with regulations, but also about opening new opportunities to expand their markets and increase consumer trust in Tajurhalang Village’s SME products,” he concluded.
Using communicative and easily understandable language, Mohamad Trio Febriyantoro successfully delivered the material. It is hoped that after attending this seminar, SME entrepreneurs in Tajurhalang Village will be more confident in running their businesses with guaranteed legal frameworks.
