Facing Challenges For Higher Education On AEC 2015
Indonesia is preparing to face the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015 which was established to improve the economic stability of the ASEAN region, and expected to overcome the problems in the economy among ASEAN countries. The impact of the creation of MEA is a free market in the field of capital, goods and services, such as education, and labor. The free market in education and employment will expand and tighten competition between ASEAN and college graduates. Because of that, the University Of Pembangunan Jaya started this preparation for the upcoming AEC 2015.
One of the activities was a knowledge sharing for faculty and staff of UPJ talking about the "Governance and Internationalization of Higher Education" with the speaker Mrs. Leenawaty Limantara, M.Sc., Ph.D., who is currently serving as a chancellor of the University of Ma Chung, Malang. she shared experiences in university management that prioritizes Partneship to gain international recognition.
On the same occasion at Monday, February 9th, 2015 the same speaker also provides motivation to students UPJ in the era of labor competition AEC 2015. on the topic "Challenges of Indonesian youth of Facing AEC 2015", told about how student must have high motivation to discipline, perceive on purpose and improve soft skills if they want to be an extraordinary graduates and able to compete with labor from other ASEAN countries.
