IDUPJ Accounting Students Won 2nd Place in the National Essay Competition EDS 3.0
Bintaro, South Tangerang 22/11/2024 - Students of the Accounting Study Program of Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) once again made their alma mater proud at the national level. The team consisting of Amandha Julianti Putri Intaniasari, Ullan Eka Ramadhani, and Ely Sabet Imel Mega Puspita (all three 5th semester students) won second place in the National Essay Competition EDS 3.0. This competition is part of the Economic Development Summit (EDS) 3.0 series, organized by UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Economic Development Summit (EDS) 3.0 aims to encourage students to develop innovative ideas in the field of economics. In the final round that took place on the campus of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, the UPJ team presented a data-driven argumentative essay that impressed the judges.
The winners were announced on November 10, 2024, where the UPJ team was declared the second winner. This achievement reflects not only the academic excellence of UPJ students, but also their creativity in providing innovative solutions to today's economic challenges.
“This competition was very challenging because we had to integrate economic theories with creative ideas. This victory is a motivation for us to continue contributing in various academic events,” said Amandha Julianti Putri Intaniasari, one of the UPJ team members.
This success cannot be separated from the support of Pembangunan Jaya University, which always provides intensive coaching and supporting facilities to students. UPJ's Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Agustinus Agus Setiawan, S.T., M.T., IPM, expressed his appreciation for the team's achievements.
“This achievement shows that UPJ students have the quality to compete at the national level. We will continue to increase our support for the development of students' critical thinking skills, creativity, and innovation in order to produce superior generations in the future,” he said.
This victory is a clear proof of UPJ's commitment in supporting its students to excel in various national events. In addition to making the university proud, this achievement is also expected to motivate other students to continue working and bring UPJ's name to a higher level.
