Innovation Day 2024: A Platform for UPJ Students to Develop Business Ideas
Bintaro, South Tangerang, 27/12/2024 - Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) celebrated the annual Innovation Day 2024 event at the conclusion of the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. This highly anticipated event spanned two days, specifically Tuesday, December 17, 2024, and Tuesday, January 7, 2025, taking place in the vibrant Lobbies of Building A and Building B at UPJ.
As a cornerstone program integrating academic pursuits with entrepreneurial growth, Innovation Day 2024 provided a dynamic platform for students to exhibit their innovative business ideas. Students, organized into groups, showcased their entrepreneurial concepts through creatively and attractively designed booths, each reflecting the unique vision and strategy they had meticulously crafted.
"Innovation Day not only offers students a stage to display their creativity, but also helps them sharpen their entrepreneurial skills. This is a crucial step in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset early on," stated Mohamad Trio Febriyantoro, S.E., M.M., Ph.D., Bureau Head of UPJ's Jaya Center for Advanced Learning (JCAL).
During the event, students were tasked with designing and adorning their booths to captivate visitors' attention and convey the essence of their business concepts. These booths served as the primary medium to present their business ideas, encompassing carefully planned marketing and branding strategies.
Aside from contributing to academic assessments, Innovation Day 2024 aimed to enhance students' experiences in developing innovative business strategies that align with market demands. By presenting a plethora of creative ideas, this initiative sought to generate solutions to future business challenges and bolster students' roles as forward-thinking innovators.
With the fervent enthusiasm of students and unwavering support from lecturers, Innovation Day 2024 marked a pivotal moment for UPJ students to showcase their entrepreneurial talents. It also opened doors for broader collaborations with the industrial sector, fostering a deeper connection between academic innovation and practical application.
