UPJ Visual Communication Design Students Illustration Exhibition: “D’ILOES: Kembang Kuncup” Showcases Early Creative Potential

Bintaro, South Tangerang, June 12, 2025 —The Visual Communication Design (DKV) Study Program at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) is organizing an exhibition entitled D’ILOES: Budding Flowers, scheduled to take place on May 27–28, 2025, in the Lobby of Building B at UPJ. This exhibition serves as an integral component of the assessment for the Basic Illustration course, providing students with an initial platform to present their exploratory works.

With the theme Budding Flowers, the exhibition underscores the formative stages of students' creative development and visual expression. Much like a budding flower, the showcased works embody the essence of artistic exploration, stylistic experimentation, and diverse visual approaches.

"This exhibition is not merely about the final artistic product; rather, it emphasizes the courage to experiment, explore, and share the creative process," stated Achmad Nur Kholis, M.Sn., the instructor for the Basic Illustration course.

Guided by the tagline Works Grow, Meaning Evolves, the event aspires to enhance students’ confidence in articulating ideas through visual media in public spaces while fostering a collaborative and supportive academic environment.

Open to the public, the exhibition aims to function as an educational and artistic appreciation platform, engaging students, artists, and the wider community. The opening ceremony will commence at 11:00 AM, featuring introductory remarks by the Head of the DKV Study Program, the course instructor, and the event coordinator, followed by a group photo session.

Through this initiative, students are encouraged to develop confidence in presenting their work and acclimate themselves to the dynamics of public exhibitions. It is anticipated that this experience will serve as a foundational step in their artistic and professional development moving forward.
