UPJ Collaborates with RANS and MS Glow to Educate Students on Financial Independence
Bintaro, South Tangerang, June 20, 2025 -To enhance financial literacy among the younger generation, the Jaya Career Center (JCC) of Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) successfully organized a talk show entitled “Smart Financial Management for Young People” on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. The event, held at the UPJ Auditorium, drew enthusiastic participation from hundreds of students across various academic programs.
This talk show formed part of JCC UPJ’s broader strategic initiative aimed at equipping students with essential life competencies, particularly in the areas of financial planning and economic self-sufficiency. The program was made possible through collaborative engagement with several esteemed industry partners—RANS, MS Glow, Fitbar, and Bundlifetaintment—who served as the event’s principal sponsors.
The forum featured two distinguished speakers. Prita Ghozie, a certified financial planner and founder of ZAP Finance, delivered pragmatic guidance on personal finance management tailored for students. Her presentation addressed topics such as monthly budgeting, the significance of expense tracking, and introductory insights into accessible investment instruments including mutual funds and digital gold.
Complementing this was an inspiring session by Nisya Ahmad, a prominent public figure and creative entrepreneur. She recounted her professional and entrepreneurial journey, underscoring the imperative of cultivating financial independence from an early age and demonstrating resilience in navigating the challenges of the entertainment and creative industries.
“We aspire for our students to not only achieve academic excellence but also to become financially prudent and self-reliant individuals,” remarked a JCC UPJ representative during the opening address.
The atmosphere of the talk show was further enriched through artistic performances that provided moments of reflection and connection. Musician Ibrani Pandean performed a series of motivational acoustic pieces that resonated with the audience, interspersed between the core thematic discussions. Additional musical contributions from UPJ students added vibrancy and a celebratory spirit to the program.
Through this initiative, UPJ reaffirmed its institutional commitment to cultivating graduates who are not only intellectually competent but also resilient, adaptive, and future-oriented. Financial literacy was positioned as a foundational competency for effective life planning and long-term prosperity.
The active involvement of corporate partners underscores the growing importance of synergistic collaboration between higher education institutions and the private sector in preparing students for real-world challenges. This program is expected to be a precursor to subsequent educational initiatives that bridge academic learning with practical, industry-relevant skills development.
