UPJ Launches Jaya Internship Program 2025, Strengthening Synergy with the Industrial World

Bintaro, South Tangerang, July 15, 2025 — UPJ Launches the Jaya Internship Program 2025: Strengthening Synergy Between Academia and Industry

Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ), through the auspices of the Jaya Career Center, has formally inaugurated the Jaya Internship Program 2025, a structured initiative designed to immerse students from diverse academic disciplines in real-world professional experiences across several strategic business units within the Jaya Group.

The program’s commencement was marked by an onboarding event held on the UPJ campus, attended by Dr. Ronald M. P. Silalahi, S.S., M.Hum., Head of the Office of Student Affairs and Alumni. In his keynote address, Dr. Ronald underscored that the program transcends mere vocational engagement—it forms an integral component of UPJ’s holistic strategy to cultivate students’ professional character and workplace acumen.

“We aspire for students to emerge not only with technical proficiency, but also with ethical integrity, self-discipline, and an enduring passion for learning. This program initiates their firsthand encounter with the complexities and dynamics of contemporary work environments,” stated Dr. Ronald.

A cohort of 25 students from nine academic programs—Accounting (11), Information Systems (3), Architecture (1), Visual Communication Design (1), Computer Science (1), Communication Studies (2), Management (3), Psychology (2), and Civil Engineering (1)—has been strategically placed across various subsidiaries and operational units of the Jaya Group, including:

  • PT Pembangunan Jaya

  • PT Jaya Real Property

  • PT Jaya Beton

  • PT Jaya Konstruksi

  • PT Jaya Teknik

  • PT Jaya Trade

  • Mitsubishi Jaya Elevator & Escalator

  • Global Jaya School

  • Jaya CM

  • PB Jaya Raya

The internship framework incorporates initial training modules focused on organizational culture, ethical communication practices, and interpersonal relationship-building strategies within professional teams. Students will engage in internship placements ranging from three to six months, guided by clearly defined learning outcomes under the dual supervision of industry mentors and academic advisors.

The Jaya Internship Program represents a cornerstone of UPJ’s pedagogical vision to foster an adaptive, hands-on learning ecosystem aligned with evolving industry demands and long-term student career trajectories.

“This collaboration with the Jaya Group affords our students direct exposure to professional realities while simultaneously enhancing their networking capabilities, self-confidence, and competitive edge as future graduates,” Dr. Ronald affirmed.

Beyond its function as a career development platform, the program serves to deepen institutional collaboration between UPJ and Jaya Group, exemplifying a model of integrated partnerships between the education sector and the industrial domain. Such synergies are imperative in cultivating Indonesia’s emerging talent to be resilient, innovative, and globally competitive.
