Internationalization Activities at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya

Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) is actively engaged in internationalization efforts aimed at expanding its academic network and enriching the experiences of both students and faculty. Through various programs such as student exchanges, international collaborations, and participation in global conferences, UPJ strives to enhance the quality of education and research at an international level. These activities also involve collaborations with leading universities across different countries, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and culture that supports the development of global competencies for the entire academic community. UPJ Students' Participation in the University of Cologne Summer School 2024

 

Students from Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) had the opportunity to participate in the Summer School program at the University of Cologne, Germany, from August 5 to 22, 2024, as part of the university's internationalization efforts. This program provided a unique learning experience for students, allowing them to deepen their knowledge in their field of study while experiencing the academic atmosphere at one of Europe's leading universities. In addition to lectures, UPJ students were also involved in cultural activities and industrial visits, which not only enriched their academic insights but also enhanced their understanding of German culture and professional practices. This program is expected to broaden students' global perspectives and improve their competencies in facing challenges in the international arena. 

 

 

 

 

Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UPJ and National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy, Ukraine

 

In July 4th, 2024, Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National University of Kyiv – Mohyla Academy, Ukraine, virtually, marking the beginning of a strategic international collaboration between the two institutions. The MoU aims to strengthen academic and research ties through student and faculty exchange programs, as well as joint research projects. This collaboration is expected to open new opportunities for UPJ students and academic staff to develop global insights, enrich educational experiences, and create joint innovations that contribute to the advancement of science and technology at the international level.

 

 

 

 

Visit of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Delegation to UPJ

 

A delegation from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) visited Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) on May 29th, 2024, as part of efforts to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. During the visit, the universities discussed opportunities for collaboration in curriculum development, student and faculty exchanges, and joint research projects. The visit also included sessions on sharing best practices in education and innovation, which are expected to enrich the academic experience and expand international networks for UPJ students and academic staff. 

 

 

 

 

Public Lecture by a Lecturer from Centro Escolar University, Philippines, on Journalism and Media

 

Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) held a public lecture on October 24, 2023, in collaboration with Centro Escolar University, Philippines, featuring Jose Cris Sotto, an expert in journalism and media, as the keynote speaker. In the lecture, Sotto discussed various current dynamics in the world of journalism, including the challenges faced by media in the digital age and the importance of ethics in news reporting. The event was attended by students and faculty from various study programs, who gained deep insights into global media developments and the role of journalism in shaping public opinion. This public lecture is also part of UPJ's efforts to enrich students' knowledge and expand its international network through collaboration with leading educational institutions.
