Tracer Study of Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ)
A Tracer Study is a method used by many universities in Indonesia, particularly to gather feedback from alumni. This feedback is essential for universities as a basis for evaluating and improving the quality and system of education. It also helps institutions better understand the business and industrial landscape, thereby reducing the gap between the competencies acquired by students during their studies and the demands of the job market.
For Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ), the Tracer Study is a valuable tool for shaping future policies in alignment with the university’s vision—to become a leading institution in advancing science and technology, and in shaping lifelong learners who are dignified, broad-minded, highly competitive, environmentally conscious, and pioneers of social well-being.
UPJ has been conducting its Tracer Study consistently since 2017, coordinated annually at the university level by the Student Affairs and Alumni Bureau (BKAL). The 2024 survey primarily targets alumni who graduated in 2023, but it remains open to graduates from previous years as well.

Employer Survey
The Employer Survey is a method of collecting data from UPJ alumni who have already embarked on their careers in various companies or institutions. Conducted by the UPJ Student Affairs and Alumni Bureau, this survey gathers insights into alumni career paths, their performance in the workplace, and their ability to carry out professional tasks. The survey also includes direct feedback from the supervisors of these alumni.
Through this employer-based study, UPJ aims to keep alumni connected and engaged, while also enabling them to support current students and recent graduates by sharing valuable information about career opportunities and job requirements.
