Students Organizations

Extracurricular Activities

Extracurricular activities provide a platform for students to develop their interests and talents. These activities, which are non-academic, also help students enhance their skills in various fields, such as organizational skills.

Student Executive Board (BEM) and Student Representative Council (BPM)

The Student Executive Board (BEM) and the Student Representative Council (BPM) are two complementary student organizations within the university. BEM, as the highest executive organization in the university, is responsible for organizing various student activities and programs, such as seminars and campus events, and serves as a communication bridge between students and the university administration. On the other hand, BPM, as the highest legislative organization, is tasked with overseeing and evaluating the policies of the executive organizations (BEM and HIMA), drafting internal regulations, and ensuring transparency and accountability. The collaboration between BEM and BPM creates a balance in managing student organizational activities within the university.

Student Association for Study Programs

The Student Association for Study Programs (Hima Prodi) is a student organization that serves as a platform for students within a particular study program to engage in activities and organize. Hima Prodi is responsible for organizing various activities directly related to their field of study, such as seminars, workshops, training, and social events that support the academic and professional development of students. Additionally, Hima Prodi also plays a role in voicing the aspirations of students to the faculty or university administration and bridging communication between students and lecturers. With Hima Prodi, students can be more actively involved in activities relevant to their field, expand their networks, and enhance the skills needed for their future careers. At UPJ, there are 10 student associations for different study programs.

Student Activity Units

Student Activity Units (UKM) are organizations that provide a platform for students to develop their interests and talents in areas such as sports, arts, culture, science, and social activities. UKM organizes activities that align with students' interests, such as training, performances, seminars, and community service. Through UKM, students can develop skills, expand their social networks, and actively contribute to campus life while achieving excellence in their areas of interest.
