The Student Executive Board (BEM) and the Student Representative Board (BPM) are two complementary student organizations within a university. As the highest executive organization, BEM is responsible for carrying out various student activities and programs, such as seminars and campus events, as well as serving as a bridge of communication between students and the university administration. Meanwhile, BPM, as the highest legislative organization, has the role of overseeing and evaluating the policies of executive organizations (BEM and HIMA), drafting internal regulations, and ensuring transparency and accountability. The collaboration between BEM and BPM creates a balanced approach to student organizational management within the university.

The Student Representative Board of Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (BPM UPJ) is the student legislative organization that serves as the voice of the student body and oversees the performance of the Student Executive Board (BEM). As a pillar of campus democracy, BPM UPJ ensures that student aspirations are effectively conveyed, safeguards policies that serve student interests, and upholds transparency and accountability within student organizations at UPJ.
